How to Register

All contestants should register through their teachers. Registrations, video recording links of the speech and signed Video Use Consent Form must be submitted online by March 13, 2023.

Teachers should fill out two forms online in order to complete the registration. One is the Speech Contest Registration and Video Submission Form; the other one is the Teacher Information and Payment Form.

If you are not a current member of CLTAC, you can renew your membership by filling out the membership application form and submitting payment when you fill out the Teacher Information and Payment Form.

Instructions for Video Recording Submissions

All teachers should submit links of the video recordings of students’ speeches in the Speech Contest Registration and Video Submission Form by March 13, 2023. Please refer to the Appendix: Speech Contest Registration Categories for registration categories and the following instructions for video submission.
  1. The contestant creates a video recording of speech as mp4 video format with any devices (e.g: cellphone, tablets and computer etc.) and software.
  2. The contestant uploads the recording to Youtube as Unlisted. Please refer to the Youtube video for instructions. 
  3. The contestant emails the shared link of the Youtube video to the teacher.
  4. The teacher renames the contestant’s video recording based on the following format: Category_LastName_FirstName (For example, I-A-1_Smith_William)
  5. The teacher uploads the video link to the registration and submission form below.
  
Instructions for Video Use Consent Form 

By registering for the virtual speech contest, the contestant agrees to give the permission to CLTAC to use his/her video for the purpose of 2023 CLTAC Virtual Speech Contest, sign on the Video Use Consent Form attached below and email the teacher who would register the contestant for the contest.

All teachers should submit students’ signed Video Use Consent Form (The teacher renames the contestant’s Consent Form based on the following format: Category_LastName_FirstName (For example, I-A-1_Smith_William) in the Speech Contest Registration and Video Submission Form by March 13, 2023.
