Theme: Developing Global Competence
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The Chinese Language Teachers Association of California (CLTAC) will host the 2021 Spring Conference virtually on March 13th 2021. The Organizing Committee invites submission of proposals for 20-minute individual presentations or 60-minute panel discussions. The theme of the conference is “Developing Global Competence.” We welcome proposals in all areas of Chinese language teaching at multiple levels and in different settings, including, but not limited to, Chinese linguistics and pedagogical grammar, second language acquisition, standard-based instruction, proficiency- and performance-based assessments, thematic unit lesson planning, curricular development, reading and writing literacy development, remote learning and technology applications, AP Chinese, teaching culture, teaching heritage students, study abroad, teacher training, immersion programs, and classroom management strategies, etc.
Proposal submission deadline: Monday, February 1, 2021
Notification of proposal status: Monday, February 22, 2021
Registration deadline: Monday, March 8, 2021
Conference date: Saturday, March 13, 2021
